Fort Bragg Life

I know you closed this forum, but just wanted to give my reply. You are correct your hubby wears the uniform not you and it will not affect his promotion in any manner, but the other person was correct in which once your hubby gets to a certain rank and certain job it is considered " PC"  to attend functions, but once again that depends on your hubbys job and rank especially if your hubby is in a command position. In the old days it did affect, but not anymore.  I understand the no kids things it makes it hard to attend functions. Don't exclude yourself from the emails because even if you dont want to go to the functions as long as you are getting the information emails that is important. RSVP is only if you are going to attend unless it is Regrets Only and that is you are not planning to attend. Some people put let me know if you can or cannot attend. Usually you let the person know 24 to 48 hours after the invite is sent out unless a RSVP date is given.

What I wanted to say to this thread, was I always RSVP because our FRG meetings and such have child care. But, you must let them know if you are coming or not otherwise they will not have someone there to watch your kiddo for you. I usually do RSVP back to any other stuff we get as well, just out of respect, thats the only reason why. :). I never think, Oh if I don't I will affect my hubbys job or any of that crazy stuff... haha. :)

You should advise them you wish to be left out of those. I'm sure they will comply and won't take it personally seeing how they should know by now you don't participate besides emails. I went to one FRG meeting but that was for the reunion information, and that was the only one. Everyone in the FRG is well older then me, so I'd rather just not go. lol.

I did not see the original thread, however I completely agree with MI_wife. If the host or hostess request regrets to be sent, I think it's good manners to do so. I think the point of that is to know whether or not you recieved the invitation.

I do not get anything from our FRG at all. There is little to no participation and I also get no emails from the FRG leader. That is a whole other story. I think that you're lucky to be included. I understand not be able to go to everything, especially if it is not kid-friendly. I have the same issue with childcare but, at the same time it is nice to be included.

Any ladies on here own a Wii and have the Jillian Michaels workout or P90X?   I am debating if I want to add Jillian Michaels to my Wii game collection since I have the EA Active and Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus.  About to get my work out on :)
